Meet Dr. Kanene Ubesie

Dr. Kanene Virginia Ubesie, MD, FACS, MBA (she/her), is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced training in burn surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care.
​
She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed surgical training at Carilion Clinic–Virginia Tech and Inova Fairfax.
She furthered her expertise with fellowships in burn surgery (Virginia Commonwealth University) and surgical critical care (Albany Medical Center).

Beyond her medical qualifications, Dr. Ubesie holds an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, combining clinical excellence with leadership and vision.

Her philosophy of care centers on partnership, transparency, and individualized treatment. Whether guiding patients through routine procedures or complex recoveries, she prioritizes clear communication, empathy, and outcomes that help patients reclaim health and vitality.
